Today, Green design is the movement. There are a wide range of greener products available for every application. Many options exist in environmentally friendly materials that are recycled, reclaimed, organic and or renewable. In addition, there are always locally sourced and manufactured materials.

The right interior finish material can either make or break your project. Whether it be a specific design, look or budget, it is very important to know and understand your choices.

Following is a short list of different options for interiors. Our interior design finishes are almost limitless but we strive to know and understand all the pros and cons of each option we suggest.

FLOORING

BAMBOO

Bamboo is a beautiful and strong flooring material made from trees. It is considered a green product because it has the potential to grow to full height and girth in three to four months. In the past bamboo was thought of as a "soft" material, but now with the introduction of strand woven bamboo, bamboo flooring is twice as hard as oak.

HARDWOOD

Hardwood is a favored material for flooring because of its wide variety of species to suit every lifestyle and space. We offer prefinished engineered and solid, reclaimed material, certified FSC as well as all unfinished solid species.

CORK

Cork flooring is a low-maintenance, highly insulated, shock resistant flooring that has acoustical qualities. It is an environmentally friendly product in more ways than one. The cork first comes from the bark that is trimmed off the tree. This leaves the tree and forest unharmed. It is then made into cork wine stoppers; recycled wine stops are then used to make cork flooring. Cork has also introduced new contemporary products such as the leather cork. The width and lengths of many cork products have been increased to look similar to hardwood planks.

MARMOLEUM/LVT

Both Marmoleum and LVT is made from natural ingredients and is an inherent for anti-static properties that repel dust and dirt. It is available in sheet goods and tiles. Luxury Vinyl Tile, LVT, is flexible, long lasting and has easy and low installation costs. Both options provide a wide variety of patterns and colors.

WOVEN VINYL

Woven vinyl is known for its unique look, soft texture and high traffic resiliency.

RUBBER

Rubber is strong, shock absorbent, very weather resistant.

CARPET

We offer all of the fiber options available such as nylon, recycled nylon, wool, sisal, sea grass and jute. Carpet prevents slips and cushions falls along with being affordable and available in many different textures, styles, patterns, and colors. With the advanced soil and stain resist technology, keeping your carpet looking new longer is easier than ever.

HARD SURFACES

TILE

Tile has endless possibilities with many different styles, colors, textures, and sizes. We carry porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, glass, marble, leather, and handmade tiles.

GRANITE/QUARTZITE

Granite is a very dense igneous stone and is highly resistant to staining and scratching. The coloration does not fade over time, leaving your granite as vibrant as when it was first installed.

Caesarstone/Silestone/Quartz manufactured solid surfaces

These materials come in a wide variety of styles and colors. They are non-porous, scratch resistant, stain resistant and scorch resistant. They retain their beauty without sealants or waxes and are virtually maintenance-free.

Vetrazzo/Ice Stone/Recycle Glass Solid Surfaces

These solid surface materials are considered a green product. They are manufactured with up to 85% recycled glass products mixed with binder cement, additives, pigments and other recycled materials. They are comparable in strength, scratch resistance, thermal resistance, durability, and care and maintenance to granite. One key difference between granite and recycled glass surfaces like Vetrazzo is that, because it is made entirely in the US and is composed of more than 85% recycled material, Vetrazzo is one of the most environmentally friendly surface materials on the market.

CONCRETE

Concrete is easy to maintain and has many different decorative looks. It can be stamped to look like brick, stone, slate and wood. It can be textured which is the least expensive of the decorative concrete because of its low labor and material cost. It can be acid stained any color which holds up great in high traffic areas. It can be scored to look like tile, marble or stone.

HARDWARE

WINDOW COVERINGS

Window Coverings provide insulation and day lighting to your space. We offer a variety of hard treatments and fabric window covering options. Without energy-efficient window treatments, as much as 50% of a home's heating and cooling energy can be lost through its windows.
FABRIC We have a complete library of a wide range of fabrics. We handle all types of fabric applications. From reupholstering existing furniture pieces to new seat covers pillows, bedding, drapery and custom made furniture.
