Open Position: Junior Interior Designer -

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate on interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation

  • Support in creating initial concept design packages for projects while brainstorming interior architecture approaches

  • Participate in the selection and presentation of hard surfaces, cabinetry, furniture, color palettes, fabrics, hardware and lighting

  • Communicate conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings

  • Generate finish plans, specifications & materials selections needed for construction

  • Assist designers with design concepts, product pricing, showroom displays and client communication.

  • Participate in the construction administration for projects, reviewing submittals and finish samples

  • Be an active member of the design team by staying current on trends, forward thinking, creative, curious and mindful to your design aesthetic and approach towards clients and towards all members of the LD Team.

  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs by participating and seeking individual growth opportunities.

EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field

  • 2-4 years of residential interior design experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace

  • Exceptional graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas throughout design process

  • Knowledge of finishes, furniture, materials, color selection and specifications

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team based, client focused design environment handling productivity and deadlines, ability to work on concurrent projects at same time

  • Passionate, detail oriented, dedicated to excellence and a self-starter
